I HAVE TWENTY MILLION NEW FAVORITE BLOGS

First of all, Happy Easter everyone!!!!!!
I have celebrated by googling easter pugs multiple times this weekend.

Back to business. I have had a lot of time this weekend to relax, do nothing, and most importantly READ BLOGS. I've found so many new favorite blogs this weekend that I have to blog about it. Here we go.

1. Running On Happiness.

Meet Katie. 27, married, 2 dogs, dances in grocery stores, and has chic style (and not to mention highly coveted hair that is both long and perfectly ombre'd). From her blog, I discovered the next couple blogs.

This is Mara. Also married, also a dog owner, yet it still remains unknown if she too likes to dance in grocery stores. Anyways, you should check out her blog if anything, just to see her wedding posts. Her wedding was BEAUTIFUL and she goes into detail writing about each detail of it. She has a quirky-vintage-cute style that is great inspiration for every day outfits.

She has a lot of uplifting and inspirational posts, in addition to interesting photography. Perfect fashion blog to check when you're feeling a little down.

Snapshots of her life and clothes, with giveaways and DIY's. Your classic fashion blog. With long blonde hair.

From her about me:
"I'm obsessed with Harry Potter.  If you say anything negative about Harry Potter, I will hunt you down and cut your tongue out. Normally I'm cool with differences of opinion, but not in this case.  If you don't like Harry Potter, we cannot be friends. "

"Oh yeah, and you should probably know--I swear sometimes. I keep it to a minimum on my blog, but I really have ZERO problem with cursing and actually think it's kind of hilariously awesome. Dealbreaker? I hope not."

..... A girl of my own heart.

In case you have never heard of Frockstock (which is not okay with me) I'd like to catch you up on what they are all about and all the cute stuff they sell. Here is what they have posted in their about section...

Frock Stock was created in September, 2011 by a young girl with a big fashion imagination. Together with the help of her friends and family she runs Frock Stock as a mom-and-pop small business with a big heart!

Our style is all about vintage. We sort through hundreds of modern indie vendors to bring you the most romantic and reminiscent pieces we can find. Everything is brand new but still holds a flair for the past.

In the world of juniors and trends we know that quality can be a huge problem at the average mall store. We're never going to sell you rings that turn your fingers green or clothes already tearing at the seam. All our jewelry is lead free and nickel free and we find the best quality in juniors clothing out there!

We know that girls who shop at boutiques are really looking for something special that they can't find at the average mall store. Yet many online boutiques and brick and mortars out there are selling the same products as us for triple or quadruple the price! We want to offer items that the average girl-on-a-budget can afford. That is why our commitment tolow prices is so strong. Every girl who dreams of beautiful vintage clothing can now afford it, thanks to...

                    ♥ FROCK STOCK ♥

So go check out their site, and don't forget to ready my guest blog about vintage shopping!!!!!

Luv AJ & UNH

I am SO excited to blog about this because it means that turbans ain't goin' no where for spring!!! (And thank God because I spent $67 dollars on one last fall, but I love it, thank you Gold Saturn & Chrome). Refinery29 just posted about this new collaboration of Luv AJ and UNH expanding into designing turbans.

I don't own a full-headed turban, so I think I'll just slap that on my Pinterest wishlist and hope it falls in my lap one day. Also the turban with spikes. Need that. The turbans run from about $88-108, but as you can see, they are aesthetic perfect and add that modern edgy vibe to any outfit. AKA worth the doll hairs.

Here are some pictures from the Luv AJ lookbook...
BRACE YOURSELF. IT'S AMAZE.

What I love about this lookbook is that it's edgy and even kind of weird. The pictures aren't of models posing with a hand on the hip, looking straight at the camera, standing in the middle of a beautiful field with tons of flowers. The pictures are of models that look like they weren't prepared and it captures an awkward moment that is also fresh and awesome. They are visually interesting to look at. You can see someone who knows what they are doing with photoshop worked their magic and amplified the shots even more. Not to mention the ridiculous accessories dripping all over them--those are definitely a plus to the appeal.

I thought I would go ahead and show some of my favorite pieces from Luv AJ!Luv aj!!!

This week's obsesh: Mara Hoffman

I recently learned the magic and wonders of the swimsuit designer, Mara Hoffman. What's really weird is I saw one of her swimsuits on Pinterest, which took me to a random tumblr, but didn't say what brand it was. Absolute frustration. Then a few days later I was flipping through a really old US weekly, AND I SAW THE SUIT. It was on Ciara. It took me about 5 minutes, but I finally found the off-white 5 pt. font, that said the brands she was wearing. Then I got my google on.

I'M OBSESSED.

3 Finds

Sorry about my lack of blogging, huge fan base (hi sister and two friends). I am back to school and the internet in my apartment is TERRIBLE. The other day I started a blog about my favorites from the Golden Globes but the internet was so bad, the Irish blood in me started boiling and I couldn't find the patience within to continue. Maybe I'll get that up at some point in time. Anyways. On this lazy Saturday, after having a minor ordeal getting my keys locked in my car at the gym, I find myself on my computer drowning in a world of fashion blogs and Pinterest. I just wanted to share a few things I found including Jenna Marbles' diet, a new blog obsession, here and there's and whatnots.

1. <new blog obsession>
Fashionlushxx
I found this blog through another blog, and it's all downhill from there. This girl is 8 kinds of interesting. I like her opinions, especially those about trends she is excited for in 2012, and those that she is glad are gone. I also love how she calls the "sock bun" the "blogger bun."
Click this pic to read about trends she is looking forward to--READ IT!!
Click this pic to see trends she is glad to see go.. definitely will inspire a closet clean out!!!

This blog in general is just great inspiration. She has had it for about 3 years and said it is finally where she wants it to be. Maybe my blog will magically be cool in 3 years? Maybe.... I also cannot stress enough how I urge all of you to read her posts about trends^^^^^^that conveniently put up there for you to click^^^^^^.

2. <vegan diet>
Jenna Marbles

I just think it is interesting to find out what people eat. I 'm one of those weird people. Thanks pinterest. And no I am by no means considering going vegan. GAWD no. LAWD no. This diva needs her chicken. And shrimp. And tacos. And cheese. I just keep happening to stumble upon vegan crap??

Which brings me to.....

Lookbook Cookbook

This blog is centered around fashion and vegan food. Yet I am mostly drawn to the pictures of models eating, thinking, "Oh yeah, that is exactly what I look like eating spinach cheesecake in a sheer top." Really though, It is interesting because have you ever heard of a vegan fashion blog???? Not I. Consider it added to my "Blogs I heart" Pinterest board. And my bloglovin list. Oh and my blogger following list.

3. <2012 Color Trends>
Refinery29

Click one of ze pics and read this article by Refinery29. I always have my eyes out for any article that says "TREND" in big letters. I'm all over that. I'm 20 after all. R29 absolutely never fails me in trend blogs. I recommend you take a glance at their predictions for what will be huge in 2012.

Well I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!
Time to go nap, read more blogs, and eat  do homework and clean...

This Week's Obsession: L/M leggings

Well, funny lil story about these leggings. I found them last night while I was perusing the internet, and can I just say, I ABOUT FREAKING DIED. LEATHER MESH LEGGINGS FOR $18 AMERICAN DOLLARS?????? MY HEART CAN ONLY PUMP SO MUCH SEROTONIN THROUGHOUT MY VEINS?!?!?!?!?!!?!??!??!?!?!? I decided right then and there that I would do something really stupid and buy them IMMEDIATELY. I haven't done this in a long time being that I'm jobless and broke all the time. But I had more than $18 in my acct and was prepared to invest it in this quality purchase. So I added them to my cart, (one size only? yiiiiikes...) and proceeded to check out (after a mental debate of adding and then later deleting other items from my cart). In the process, however, I had to click "back" because it didn't switch to US currency. After I clicked back, the leggings deleted from my cart. I then continued to re-add them.

And then the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my small insignificant life happened to me:
It. Sold. Out.
LITERALLY in the THREE seconds I took to re-add the leggings, THEY HAD SLIPPED FROM MY HANDS. I AM NOT OKAY WITH THAT. My soul weeps.

There you have it folks. The one that got away.

P.S.
I found these suckers on my new fave online store: THE QUIET RIOT!!!!!!!!!!

Closetvisit

I really couldn't pass up blogging about this....

Everyone meet Cathy Cooper, stylist of Echo Park, CA. She has long hair, tattoos, and sick style. I have no idea what age she is, but she still reminds me of all of the fashion lovers that I've ever seen in their 20s. I read this interview of her and it really expanded my google search. I find her so interesting.

Here is the article from closetvisit.com...

I like to think of myself as a Baroque hobo. On the witchy side.

Who are your favorite designers?
Junya Watanabe, Rei Kawakubo, Henrick Vibskov, Tsumori Chisato, Kenzo, Norma Kamali, Ossie Clark, Elsa Schiaparelli, Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chayalan, Martin Margeila, Salvatore Ferragamo. That's the short list.

What are your favorite places to shop?
La Garconne, APC, Opening Ceremony, The Scent Bar, Creatures of Comfort, Barney's, Bergdorff Goodman's, St Vincent De Paul's.

Who are your style icons?
Louise Nevelson, Quentin Crisp, Leigh Bowery, Anita Pallenberg, Giorgiana Cavendish, Iris Apfel, Alice Pollock, Yayoi Kusama, Gloria Swanson, Eva Roberts

A gorgeous, molded leather change purse in oxblood. I got it in a boutique called Ramdane (lower east side NYC).

Do you have any stories about amazing deals you've gotten on awesome pieces?
My dog and I were on a New Years road trip to the Grand Canyon. I drove into Kingman to get a snack and ended up with a vintage YSL 3 piece suit for ten dollars. I love a road trip..

Can you give us smart shopping advice?
Shopping online for high end clothing: Make sure you go and try on the line you are shopping for to be sure of your exact size. A lot of those items are non-returnable so it pays to be precise.

Water and sleep.

5 things you can't live without.
My friends, my grandfather's guitar, art, my dog and the earrings my mother gave me
